Evening Custodian Job Description (Rockmart, GA)

Pay: $280.00 - $300.00 per week (based on experience)

This is a Part Time Custodian position with a typical work week of 15 - 20 hours. Work location is in Rockmart, GA. Shift begins at 6:00 pm for five nights a week Monday - Friday.

Job Description:

Brown’s Janitorial Service and Lawn Care is looking for motivated and dependable Part Time Evening Custodians experienced in Commercial Industrial Office Cleaning. Our ideal candidates pay attention to detail, can work independently with integrity and has an exceptional work ethic. Genuine care and pride in your work is also a must.

As an Part Time Evening Custodian, your job duties will include:

• Wipe and clean all desks in offices daily

• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and appliances in break room

• Empty trash cans throughout building and replace liners as needed. Take trash to onsite dumpster

• Clean building floors by sweeping and mopping using dust and wet mops

• Clean baseboards as needed

• Vacuum and spot clean carpets, rugs and mats in offices and other assigned areas

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including stalls, fixtures (i.e. toilets, urinals, faucets and sinks), mirrors and dispensers

• Restock restroom soap, paper towel and tissue dispensers and replace trash liners

• Clean windows, office partition glass, doors, light fixtures, touch points (i.e. handles / door knobs, light switches, etc.), countertops, sinks, faucets, and drinking fountains

• Secure and lock all doors, windows and gates, and sets alarm(s)

• Perform minor non-technical repairs, maintenance, and adjustments to building fixtures and equipment

• Dust high and low surfaces.

• Maintain cleanliness of custodial supply areas in a safe and orderly manner moving and storing supplies as appropriate

• Perform deep cleaning duties as assigned

• Report all safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to management

• Communicate and work cooperatively with site and co-workers

• Attend training and meetings as requested

• Performs other related duties as directed

 

Essential Job Qualifications and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Use custodial supplies, electrical equipment and cleaning chemicals.

• Use proper materials and methods used in cleaning work

• Use basic hand tools used in routine building maintenance

• Use safe work practices and procedures

• Use proper care and maintenance of custodial tools

• Safely use and apply cleaning agents, equipment, and materials

• Follow oral and written instructions

• Recognize and locate conditions which require maintenance and repair work

• Pass background check

 

This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who:

• Previously performed paid custodial work for a minimum of three (3) years

• Can be depended on to consistently report to work for their daily work schedule

• Enjoys working independently

• Communicates effectively

• Available to work night hours starting at 6:00 pm five nights a week.
